Monthly Goals

December 2017 Goals

December 2, 2017

And just like that we’re in the holiday season of 2017. I probably say this every month, but I honestly can’t believe it’s already December?! This year has truly flown by. November was an up and down for me to be honest, but the momentum is picking up so I’m planning on crushing all my December goals.

A Quick Re-Cap of November’s Goals:

1. Blog Goals

Haven’t quite made it to 100 subscribers yet, but well over half way there! I did get my first newsletter sent out and that felt great. I’m hoping to get a new one sent out this weekend with some fun holiday stuff.

If you’d like to sign up for my newsletter CLICK HERE! Thank you!

Haven’t done much with affiliate related things except for adding my links to my sidebar. I did make my first amazon affiliate sale!

2. Interior House Painting

This is actually happening at a good pace. We just finished painting that bathroom (post coming soon once I get it all pretty) and it looks great. It’s amazing how some paint can truly change a space so much. Next up is the living room, which I’m hoping we get done quick so I can decorate the mantel.

3. Master Closet

Does it count if I made marks on the walls where I want the shelving to be installed? Still a work in progress. I have changed my mind on a few details too that I think will make the install a lot easier.

4. Cleaning Schedule

This last month has been much better with cleaning and upkeep in the house, despite the construction zone bathroom and dining room where all the bathroom stuff landed. We’ve made a chore chart for Fota and she’s been keeping up with it on her own and even asking if I need help with other stuff. The toddler on the other hand could care less how much time I spend organizing his toys, so I’ve succumbed to just throwing them all in a big basket for now. I did inherit a smallish bookcase I’m thinking of using some baskets in to store a variety of toys and just bring one out at a time for him to play with. Less mess and then I know he’s actually playing with all his toys.

5. 2018 Planner

Totally failed at this. Haven’t even purchased my 2018 planner yet, maybe I’ll ask to get it for Christmas?

ย December’s Goals

1. Blog Goals

This month I want to focus on my subscribers and reaching out to them more frequently with fun updates, newsletters, freebies and offering exclusive content for them and entice some new followers. Get my creative juices flowing!

2. Interior House Painting

I’m going to keep this on here: get the living room, foyer & hallway done. Bonus if we get the dining room done!

3. Master Closet

Does it count if I made marks on the walls where I want the shelving to be installed? Still a work in progress and I have changed my mind on a few details too that I think will make the install a lot easier.

4. Arts & Crafts

I really would love to be better at planning and scheduling some fun arts & crafts time with the kiddos. I know Fota would love it and I think Fallou is at the age where he’d definitely show some interest and have some fun. It’s the perfect time as there’s so many adorable holiday crafts.

5. 2018 Budget & Resolutions

It’ll be 2018 before we know it and I need to work out some kinks in our personal and household budget. We’ve got some big expenses coming up that need to be addressed and it never hurts to try and save more! I’ve been doing great with apps like Ibotta, Target’s Cartwheel and our local grocery store’s coupons and incentives so it definitely pays off to do the homework and planning.

For 2018 my resolutions will be more ME focused. Self-care, self-love, getting back to my yoga mat and just feeling more like myself. Things in life are finally settling down and becoming more of a routine with the kids so it’s the perfect time to take a step back and get back to the basics.

Looking back I’m really glad I started these goals posts. It’s really made me aware of things I’d like to do and improve on in both my blog and home life. I like seeing where I am with each month’s goals and setting new ones. Keeps things fresh and I enjoy sharing with you all what I’m up to.

Are you ready for the holiday season? (I’m still undecided).

Happy December!

I hear ya! I can’t believe December is here either! I’m in a contemplative mood today and trying to figure out my Goals for the new year and still not sure about December’s. I like the idea of goal blog posts something to think about.

I like your goals. I had not thought about sharing my goals on my blog. Neat idea. Now go get yourself a planner! Grab a Hobby Lobby coupon from the web site. Haha.

Great goals! I need to set goals for my blog too, but I keep postponing. Scared I won’t be able to make them, I think. Undecided about holiday season as well, haha! The weather here sure doesn’t make it feel as if it’s winter. It’s constantly raining and storming. Horrible!

Thanks for sharing! Writing down your goals can play a major part in achieving them and posting them publically takes GUTS! I definitely plan on writing a goal post for next year too. If you’re looking for a planner suggestion, I use a bullet journal as my planner and I LOVE IT!

Busy busy busy! I’m finding that writing out my goals and publishing them really help me to stay focused! I’ve not been consistent with my blog over the last year, so that’s a big goal for me too.

Great job on your November goals and I hope you are very successful with your December ones. I tried doing goal posts earlier in the year and then I kept forgetting, but I would really like to get back into the groove of it! I think it would help keep me more on track. I got my 2018 planner last week and I can’t wait to get started with it!

I can’t believe we are in December already! I love your 2018 goal. I think we all need to take more time for self care. I’m trying to get back into yoga, too ๐Ÿ™‚
